Chairman of ACGS

D. S. Roshan Motha

Roshan Motha is a highly accomplished executive with over 30 years of experience in international trade, business development, and strategic leadership. As the CEO of the G.E. Group of Companies in Sri Lanka, he has been instrumental in developing and executing successful sales and marketing strategies, particularly in the aviation, defense, cyber security, and communications sectors. He has represented prestigious international companies, led large-scale infrastructure and security projects, and played a key role in implementing nationwide secure communication networks.

From 2015 to 2017, Mr. Motha served as the Country Director for Sri Lanka, heading the Private Finance Advisory Network (PFAN) supported by USAID and Deloitte, where he played a key role in facilitating private sector investment in clean energy and climate-related projects.

Beyond his corporate leadership, Roshan has been actively involved in renewable energy investment as the Sri Lanka Hub Operator for the Commonwealth Environmental Investment Platform (CEIP) and previously served as the Country Coordinator for USAID-PFAN for Sri Lanka and the Maldives. His expertise extends to business turnaround strategies, having successfully transformed non-profitable ventures, such as The Bay Leaf restaurant, into thriving enterprises.

With a strong educational foundation in electronics from South Bank University London and extensive technical training, Roshan combines deep industry knowledge with strategic acumen. His leadership, negotiation skills, and ability to build high-performing teams have earned him recognition, including an honor from St. Peter’s College Old Boys Union for his contributions to trade and commerce.

Mr. Motha was also appointed as a Justice of the Peace (Whole Island) by the Government of Sri Lanka, as published in Gazette No. 2027/28 dated 07 July 2017 (Serial No. 1919).

Kapila G. Sri Chandrasekera

Kapila G. Sri Chandrasekera- 20 Years CxO level experience and 15 years Board level experience in the Telecom and ICT fields with membership in the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Mr. Sri Chandrasekera has worked for several telecom companies at the CxO level managed by multinational tier 1 telecom operators  with experience in Finance, Sales Marketing and Operations; the multinationals  include  Axiata Malaysia, NTT Japan, Vodafone PLC, Amper S.A. Spain (a subsidiary of Telefonica S.A). As Group CFO for Ampers subsidiary in the South Pacific he was responsible for preparing the financial statements which were consolidated in Ampers financial reporting to the Bolsa Madrid ( Spanish Stock Exchange.) He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of subsidiaries of the companies he has worked for including BlueSky South Pacific, Telecom Fiji, Mobitel (Pvt) Limited and Sri Lanka Telecom and commenced his career in telecommunication industry with Dialog Axiata PLC. Mr. Sri Chandrasekera has also served as a Director of N Able Pvt Limited a SI company based in Sri Lanka and  Information Communication and Technology Agency Sri Lanka and has served as a Non-Executive Director of Asia Capital  PLC a company listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange. He also served on the Cabinet Sub Committee on ICT from 2018 and 2019 and devised the financial model that was used by the World Bank to ascertain the financial feasibility of under sea cable projects in developing countries and used to roll out telecom cable connectivity projects is Africa and the South Pacific.

Yudy Kanagasabai

Mr. Yudhishtran Kanagasabai is currently the Independent Non–Executive Chairman of Asia Capital PLC, Asia Leisure Holdings (Pvt) Ltd and Wadduwa Resorts (Pvt) Ltd. He is also the Chairman of the Board Audit Committees, and an Independent Non–Executive Director of Eswaran Brothers Exports (Private) Limited, Abans Finance PLC, and MainGate (Private) Limited. He is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of Cargills Bank PLC, Arpico Insurance PLC and Kelani Cables PLC.

Mr. Kanagasabai was the Chairman of South Asia Textiles Limited from January 2021 to 31st May 2021, Chairman of Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC from August 2021 until 31st October 2023, Chairman of the Audit Committee of Union Bank PLC from August 2016 to 31 December 2018, and a Commissioner of the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka from May 2018 to November 2018 and from December 2018 to November 2019. He was also a Non-Executive Director of Hunter and Company PLC and Lanka Canneries Limited from 2017 up to 31st March 2022, and a Director of both Cargills Ceylon PLC and Cargills Food Company Limited from 2016 until 31st July 2023. Mr Kanagasabai retired from Ceylon Tobacco Company PLC as an Independent Non-Executive Director after completing his six-year term on 31st January 2024. Mr Kanagasabai also retired from the Boards of Ambeon Capital PLC and its subsidiaries with effect from 29th May 2024.

Mr.Kanagasabai is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. He has over 35 years of experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and Singapore, before retiring as the Senior Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers Sri Lanka and the Maldives on 31st March 2017.

Sooraj Radha

Sooraj Radha brings a blend of academic excellence and hands-on experience to his professional endeavors. Educated at  Millfield in the UK and Colombo International School in Sri Lanka, he honed his skills both in the classroom and on the cricket field, excelling as part of his schools’ cricket teams.

He pursued higher education in the UK, completing a Business Management degree at the University of Nottingham and the University of Buckingham. His passion for leadership and innovation led him to earn an MBA from the University of Bedfordshire.

While pursuing his MBA, Sooraj simultaneously worked in his family’s Shipping and Freight forwarding business, gaining valuable industry experience and reinforcing his commitment to excellence in the field.

Shannon Motha,

BSc

Shannon Motha is a dedicated and experienced physiotherapist with a strong background in both adult and pediatric care across NHS and private settings. She has worked in various rotational roles, including trauma and orthopedics, neurosciences, oncology, metabolic bone, elderly care, stroke rehabilitation, and pelvic health. Her expertise extends to hydrotherapy, safeguarding, and service development, including implementing post-operative guidelines and virtual rehabilitation programs.

Shannon holds a BSc in Physiotherapy from Brunel University London and has a history of leadership roles in sports and community initiatives, including wheelchair basketball, lacrosse, and charity work. Her diverse experience reflects a commitment to patient care, teamwork, and continuous professional development.

Shannon will be responsible for ACGS medical sales.

Director – Non-Executive

Sooraj Radha

Sooraj Radha brings strong international academic exposure and extensive leadership experience to his role as a Director at ACGS. He began his education at Colombo International School (CIS) before moving to the UK to complete his Sixth Form at the prestigious Millfield boarding school.

He then pursued higher education at the University of Nottingham and the University of Buckingham, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Building on his academic foundation, Sooraj went on to earn an MBA from the University of Bedfordshire, further strengthening his expertise in strategic management and global business operations.

Alongside his academic achievements, Sooraj has held a key leadership position as a Director at SAR Shipping, contributing to the growth and operational expansion of the family’s shipping and freight forwarding enterprise. His exposure to international policy and leadership was further enhanced by his participation in the Future World Leaders Summit in Washington, D.C., an experience that broadened his global outlook and commitment to impactful leadership.

With a blend of strong educational credentials, industry experience, and a global perspective, Sooraj continues to play a pivotal role in guiding ACGS’ strategic direction and growth.

Chief Engineer

E.M.D. Ekanayake

E.M.D. Ekanayake is a highly experienced retired Army Signal Officer with extensive expertise in communications, security, and disaster response. Throughout his military career, he specialized in radio repeater installation, radio jamming systems, and secure communications, ensuring efficient and uninterrupted operations. His expertise also extends to bomb disposal systems, monitoring and surveillance, and strategic security arrangements.

In addition to his technical skills, Ekanayake has significant experience in deploying and managing troops during disaster situations, demonstrating strong leadership and crisis management abilities. His deep knowledge of military communications and security makes him a valuable asset in both defense and civilian sectors.
